"The aquamarine in the silver setting of mountains" - this is how the famous traveller Semionov-Tianshanski has characterised Issyk-Kul lake. It is the second largest mountain-lake (1,600 m above sea level) after Lake Titikaka in South America. By depth (668 m) and water volume it is the biggest in the world. The average water temperature in Summer is 19-22o C.
We can offer you a choice of private houses or cottages near the lake (800 m), in the resort village of Cholpon-Ata, on the northern shore of Issyk-Kul.
Itinerary
| Day 1 | Arrival to Bishkek. Overnight in private apartments. City tour after lunch. | |
| Days 2-7 |
Travel to Cholpon-Ata on the north side of Issyk-Kul Lake. Stay in a private house. The following activities are available as optional extras at additional cost: |

| - Visit to the open air Museum of Stone Inscriptions in Cholpon-Ata. Most of the drawings date from several thousand years B.C. up until the 12th Century A.D. | ||
| - Pony Trekking to the mountains to view the lake with a picnic in the open air | ||
| - Horse riding lessons | ||
| - Yachting or a trip on a steamer | ||
| - Water sports (water scooter, aqualung, water skiing) | ||
| - A trip to one of the beautiful canyons around Issyk-Kul Lake - "Grigorievskoe". From there you can view the glorious forest-covered mountains and a turbulent river | ||
| - Falcon hunting demonstrated by a local hunter | ||
| - Folklore Concert (Kyrgyz national songs, dances and the famous Kyrgyz poem "Manas") | ||
| - Classical massage | ||
| Day 8 | After lunch depart for Bishkek. Overnight family run accomodation. | |
| Day 9 | Fly home. | |
