Duration: 15 Days

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Bishkek. City tour. Accommodation in hotel.
Day 2 Visit the Osh Market and others places of interest. Transfer to Kochkorka (270 km). Overnight in family run accommodation.
Day 3 Visit a felt carpet workshop where it is possible to produce your own felt carpet and buy carpets or souvenirs. Transfer from Kochkor to Song-Kul Lake (150 km). Stay on the shore of Song-Kul in the yurtas of local shepherds, who pass their summer on the jailoo. Accommodation in a yurta, the traditional home of the nomadic shepherds.
Day 4 Free day on Son-Kul. If you wish, you can go horse riding near Song-Kul or walk in the hills around the mountain valley. You will stay in a yurta camp.
Day 5 Transfer to the starting point of your trek (about 60 km). The view of Song-Kul you get whilst walking on the surrounding hills is bound to impress you. Overnight in tents.
Day 6-9 A 4-day trek through the Moldo Too mountain range takes you along a trail used by ancient nomads. The path goes through valleys and passes from 3400 m to 3700 m above sea level, through flower-covered meadows and mountains inhabited by Lammergeier vultures!, where herds of horses, cows and sheep graze around the yurtas of people who spend their summer on the jailoos. After the trek transfer to Naryn (70 km).
Day 10 Transfer from Naryn to Jety-Oguz (400 km). Shepherds can tell you a lot of legends about the beautiful, famous, red rocks known as the "Seven Bulls" and "Broken Heart". You will stay in a yurta camp, in "Flower valley".
Day 11 Free day in the yurta camp. You will be able to watch a Kyrgyz tradition Hunting with an Eagle. A traditional shepherds' dinner will leave you feeling like a real nomad.
Day 12 Transfer to Karakol a town founded by Russian pioneers in Central Asia. Here you can visit one of the oldest Orthodox Churches in Kyrgyzstan and a Chinese-style Muslim mosque and visit a Central Asian market bazaar - the most colorful part of Asian towns. Overnight in family run accommodation.
Day 13 Transfer from Karakol to Cholpon-Ata along the northern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake the second-largest mountain lake in the world - 1609 m above sea level. Rest and relax on the shore of Issyk-Kul Lake.
Day 14 Transfer from Cholpon-Ata to Bishkek. Farewell dinner in Bishkek. Accommodation in the hotel.
Day 15 Fly home.

Level of difficulty: This tour is recommended for people with hiking experience (hiking time approximately 5-7 hours per day).

Conditions: It is necessary to bring a sleeping bag, warm clothes and trekking boots.
